Flower Ring

Look what I found at the thrift store this week.

Do you know what it is?

A few weeks ago I shared flower bricks with you (which you can read about HERE ) .

Well this is similar, it is called a flower ring. Sometimes they are referred to as pansy rings.

Spring flowers are bursting out in my garden including several little pansies and violas. Have you ever seen anything so adorable?
This one is hand painted from Italy, they are actually quite rare.

Since it is doughnut shaped it is popular to place a candle in the center.

But I decided to play a little, how about a nest surrounded by candies,

or a cute little Easter chick nestled among the blooms?

What a fun way to display spring blossoms!

  1. that is very cute. I had one once painted with pansies but it leaked and I could never figure out where it linked! Yours is darling.

  2. I have never seen a flower ring but that is perfect for short stemmed flowers like pansies!

  3. I have a white flower ring I found at Round Top a few years ago. Love the idea of putting the little chick in the center. I think I have something in my Easter box that will look adorable in the center of mine. Thanks for the inspiration.

  4. We call it a pansy ring - my mum had one, and I must have a look for it. You've used yours so inventively. Your blog is very pretty - I've had a lovely look around, and will be back!

  5. The pansy ring or whatever it's awesome! I've seen these in plastic, my Mil had one where she did arrangements for her dinner table.
The little chic in the center is perfectly cute! Love the ring.
