Have you ever popped into a new shop and loved absolutely everything in it? That's how I felt when I happened upon Wildwood Design last week. I've been familiarizing myself with the shops and restaurants of Midway, Utah where we've just bought a vacation home. As I was driving down a country lane I spied this sign and decided to check it out.
Behind the owner's house is this charming little cottage surrounded by amazing gardens.
Then when I walked inside and saw a table full of Quimper I knew I had found a little gem of a shop!
There was a cupboard full of ironstone,
delicate cut crystal,
loads of English transferware,
as well as silver, spongeware, kilim pillows,
vintage linens and fine art.
Shushu the owner, is a delight and has been collecting and selling antiques for almost 40 years. I found her prices to be very reasonable.
I came away with some vintage silver flatware, Quimper plates and darling brown spongeware bowls.
If you find yourself in the Heber Valley on a free afternoon I highly recommend a stop into Wildwood Designs. You are sure to find something you like!
